Wingman is led by Amit Birk and Steve Alberto. Co-founders who are accessible, involved, and personally invested in every client engagement.
Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder
Amit Birk
Amit leads Wingman's business strategy, client relationships, and operational direction. His background spans 21 years in IT and managed services, with hands-on experience across startups, mid-market businesses, and enterprise environments. Before founding Wingman, he spent six years as the owner of Connected 360 running a managed services business end to end and developing the technical depth that comes from being personally responsible for client environments, not just the strategy behind them.
What Amit cares about most at Wingman is consistent: clarity, accountability, and a white-glove experience that treats every client like the most important one. He's the founder clients call when they need a straight answer, not a managed one and the one most focused on making sure the relationship feels as premium as the work behind it.
Outside of Wingman: Amit spends most of his time with family and their dog, cheers loudly for the Blue Jays, escapes to Florida whenever the GTA winter allows, and has been known to DJ in his spare time.
Chief Technology Officer & Co-Founder
Steve Alberto
Steve leads the architecture, the security posture, and the engineering standards that every client environment is built on. With more than two decades in IT operations and infrastructure, his expertise spans the full stack: networking, server infrastructure, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and the complex hybrid environments mid-market businesses actually run.
Before founding Wingman, Steve spent six years as the owner of Syndeso Solutions, where he built a managed IT business known for technical discipline and client trust.
He's the founder clients call when they need a straight answer, not a managed one. When he builds something, it holds, because he's been on the other side of what happens when it doesn't.
Outside of Wingman: Steve spends time with his family, snowboards in the winter, cycles when the weather cooperates, and is passionate about helping the next generation understand technology, including mentoring younger people in the field. He's also a devoted dog person.
Two roles. One partnership.
Amit and Steve's working relationship isn't a clean division of labour with one person handling business and the other handling technology. It's a partnership built on trust, with deep overlap on every major decision.
Amit holds the team accountable to how Wingman shows up for clients. Steve holds the team accountable to how Wingman builds. Both pay attention to the other's domain. Both have strong opinions. Both make the company better for it.
And neither of them disappears once a contract is signed. They are involved in the business every day, and accessible to clients when the situation calls for it. If you work with Wingman, you'll meet both of them and quickly understand why the company runs the way it does.
